all the seasick sailors are all heading home to find some stable ground there that they’ve once known reset the idle find the floor start again off from the shore all this talk as a fix to ignore what’s true all the big ideas that just won’t be used but inching toes we can afford we’re slowly creeping off the shore and all the ideas that we here but are gone all of the time spent lingering on all of the love that you claim to be for can be yours take the classroom walls to that big blue bin trade them for some clues to the place we’re in the winter’s freeze and summer’s melt can teach you how to teach yourself and all the ideas that were here but are gone… and like a garden seems to know you can’t help growing where you grow and if ever love has a mind to unfold say hello hello

Tire Track 03:16
crazy as I come let me out let me see the sun let these words fall on anyone who may be near just get us through the day let me in teach me to stay cut the sails of my getaway that claims it’s here I’m not falling back but I’m alone on this tire track but all these homes that have come to pass are still in gear just like the oceans and the breeze and the fortunes and the needs and the love among all the friends I hope to see I’m not falling back… I’m not falling back not with soil for my soul to grab lighter grips on the fading past stuck on my wheels crazy as I come let me out and on the run let these words fall on anyone who may be near

Same Story 02:51
it’s the same old story again our eyes are way too big for our hands desire seems like a wanderer’s friend but she’ll get you in trouble it’s the same old lingering tale we’re living up ahead of ourselves we’re missing on the cards that are dealt right here on the table oh it seems the water is changing scenes circling everything it sees and a notion to pretend loses steam and dies again tries to surface just right when the guard went a wandering and it only goes to show that we know not what we know we just keep on moving slow low to the grindstone oh it seems… and the moments that we’re facing come in every other size and the endless options trying pulling wool over our eyes it’s the same old story again our eyes are way too big for our hands desire seems like a wanderer’s friend but she’ll get you in trouble

your past is pounding at your door all the effort you cannot afford maybe you can take me talking and we can tidy up the load but I got my troubles in my suitcase I got the dangers I cannot escape maybe you can take me talking and we can lay them all to waste Cupid don’t lay down your weary bow the fighter is getting off the ground there are more rounds left to go Paul started painting after 30 years to show the colors just as they appear so has our buried seed the future hold with only room to grow and all the reasons for us not to find whatever happens when we cross the line let’s take them out on the Thursday street so we never see Cupid don’t lay down your weary bow… and if love may be near the obligation is clear Cupid don’t lay down your weary bow… Cupid don’t lay down your weary bow there might be fire in this fight and we’d sure like to know so let your history lessons hit the ground I won’t go running where I can’t be found maybe you can take me talking we can try to work it out

A Ground 03:40
hearts of scattered bones sucked by currents crashed out on the stones you hung me out to dry with a phosphorescent twinkle in your eyes this love it needs a ground there’s no way standing on a cloud there’s no way when the lines are down like a hound dog chases prey you were moved to run away I just hope you’re not too far and I pray that in your heart that you know love it needs a ground and you can’t stand up on a cloud and you can’t hold on to a sound when it comes back around with the credit page on the cutting room ground we’ll be better off to see the hope inside this old mystery and we’ll know love it needs a ground the reasons and the answers found and love knows to be true and all of mine is for you all of mine is for you
6.
I was fine when I was shown that hearts will surely grow with the light with the passengers in tow the caravan is holding to its stride you take away what you pay for we’re spending all that we got to put the cart behind the horse to have the horse run through its course in time however barren be the road however tied or overgrown be the vines you’re still gonna run with your arms down you still find quarters in trees tied at the hands we wrestle the wind and we circle the answers but they don’t let us in and we’re holding our court in a quieter town with the food from the garden and the feet from the ground and then a motor came along with a motorcade of songs for you to write but the oil is a ticking bomb and the soil is a balance beam we must stand on you take away what you pay for we’re spending all that we got tied at the hands… I was fine when I was shown that hearts will surely grow with the light
7.
an open post in the marketplace to get on board there’s a diner on the train we spend our days here sifting through some memories and some things yet left to do and if it’s ever to be something new we’d like to see what it can do and all of the simple words appear to posture is not but mud inside the gears and as the tumbling river flows lies everything we’d ever need to know but if you hear it and you can’t approve step aside and let it move cause there’s a time for paying dues and there’s a time for peeking through and if it’s ever to be something new we’ll stick around and see it through
8.
stuck inside a twist of fading plans dreaming for a cure and the love light lacking in a man is but traffic and a thorn for to give away is to let it stay to give away you came by my door with a basket of words every day for six weeks more and the sounds they made were maybe heard but the feeling wasn’t sure for to give away I know your rainbow is black and white I know you save yours out of sight for to give away…
9.
wait with me baby if we lose the way for the haul is long and steep if ever plans could be made it’s these that I’d save but there just aint no telling the sea we’ll hunker down through the storm as our strides retake form the sky always turns back to blue and upon a clean slate we will carve out the phrase “forever each other renew” I could go for days having only but a clue looking for this love I’d found and if it’s coming back my way tried, tested and true there just aint no sweeter sound we’re bound to get up and roll with a sieve for a soul hanging on the good parts to save stick it out to the end and to come back again just to see all the progress we made and as these seasons change lights strengthen and fade and in all of our chapters through with each break or bend and in each subtle blend forever each other renew I could go for days having only but a clue…
10.
do not greet the postman if the box is made of gold share a smile and cup of tea if on a weathered wooden pole everything we have is gonna go in a lifetime more like lightening just a flicker in the clouds from a scale to see relations don’t go let it bring you down cause everything we have we have it now and now all the kings study the spade as he’s staring into outer space even with the books they read they cannot understand the things he sees and misunderstanding they throw him away intimidated they throw him away and now slowly lodging in your brain the only way they’ll say to play this game but as long as birds recreate we’ll always have a clue out of this place which is changing but will always be this way it’s changing but the roles remain the same the walls rearrange but it’s still a maze and now you and I are like the tides we’re down and waves rise and collide then it’s up and so are we we finally get up on our feet and ride and never have we felt so alive never have we felt so alive
11.
in the later hours you call the names of ghosts to bring you back to days of old just a little scared to move forward tree to branch and limb to limb eyes closed pray to fall upon a foothold you can find one here you know it’s past the time for you to turn again at least you have a season’s end to help you on your way to let your feelings change
